Ireland

My freshman year at Wesleyan University, I was part of the Collegium Musicum, an incredible choir class that focused on traditional medieval and Irish chant. We had the privilege of traveling to Ireland over spring break to hone our craft, and took on our final performance at Wesleyan’s Memorial Chapel in the Spring of 2023. Be sure to check out the concert film (right)!

The pictures below are some I captured on this experience, my first (and so far) only time in Europe. This trip was also my first of four times studying abroad as part of my education, and showed me that I really could seek out and partake in extraordinary experiences I previously thought unnatainable. Still a baby at visual arts, film, and photography, the photos I took in Ireland were my first time seriously and intentionally trying to capture images. Though I didn’t know much, I really tried to focus on lighting, angles, composition, and everything I thought was important at the time. For this reason, I feel they are an important part of my portfolio.
